Landåsen

Landåsen, close to Leirvik, has several paths for walking, jogging and biking.

Hystadmarkjo

Hystadmarkjo is a foot trail by the sea, ideal for fishing and swimming.

Gullberg

The Gullberg walk starts by the camping site Sponavikjo. View of the southern part of Stord.

The Mine at Litlabø

The Mine at Litlabø is the starting point for many walks. Lake Storavatnet is good for swimming and canoing.

Utslettefjellet

Utslettefjellet is a mountain trip where you will have a view over the island of Stord and Bømlo.

Kattnakken

Enjoy the great view of the surrounding fjords from the mountain Kattnakken (724 m.).

Vatnadalen

Vatnadalen is the starting point for some good walks.

The Gardens at Stord/Haugesund University College

The Gardens at Stord/Haugesund University College (Rommetveit) is good for a stroll.

Huglo - Tveitevatnet lake

A nice nature walk around the southern side of the Tveitevatnet lake at Huglo.

Beaches

Sponavikjo

There is a nice beach at the camping site Sponavikjo which is suitable for wheelchairs.

Hystadmarkjo

In Hystadmarkjo you will find the beaches of Melkevikjo and Apalvikjo.

Ådlandsvatnet

The lake Ådlandsvatnet, just a short walk from Leirvik, is a good spot for swimming.

Some other good beaches are: Beivikjo (Rommetveit), Dagfinnsvikjo (Kårevik), Sætravikjo, Aslaksvikjo, Tveitevågen (Huglo), Røssbøvikjo (Huglo) og Båtsvikjo (Litlabø)

Fishing and boat rental

Fishing is not allowed in the Vatna river, the Ådlandsvatnet lake and the river mouth by the church. All other lakes and rivers are open for fishing.
